The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) announced a fall lineup of free and low-cost non-credit courses that meet crucial needs in our community. These programs support the professional growth and personal development of residents, offering training in personal finance, health and safety, and essential workplace skills.

Residents looking to enhance their professional skills can take advantage of UACCB's programs that deliver upskilling for career advancement, hands-on training in high-demand areas:


  • Excel Levels 1 & 2 - Oct. 22 and Nov. 7 - $129: Gain valuable data management and analysis skills essential for today's workplace. Enroll in one or both full-day Excel courses to gain a competitive edge in the job market by mastering high-demand skills.


Health and Safety Training


For those interested in improving workplace safety or gaining life-saving skills, UACCB offers Health and Safety Training courses that cover vital certifications:


  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification - Oct. 8 - $159: This nationally accredited course provides essential training for food service professionals seeking management positions, helping ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations.
  • Basic Life Support - Oct. 18 - $59: Designed for healthcare providers, this three-hour course covers the skills needed to recognize life-threatening emergencies and perform CPR. Participants can earn a two-year Basic Life Support digital certificate.
  • Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED - Oct. 25 - $99: This course equips individuals with the first aid and CPR certification needed to meet employment requirements. It covers life- saving techniques, including first aid basics, medical and environmental emergencies, adult and child CPR and AED use, and response to opioid-related emergencies.
