Materials Circulation

Materials from the Roy Row, Sr. & Imogene Row Johns Library may be circulated to the following:

  • Students from UACCB
  • Instructors and staff from UACCB
  • Students from ARKLink institutions
  • Community members

The library guest will supply his name, address, telephone number, and email information on issuance of library privileges and a resident must have a photo ID, such as a driver's license, before a card will be issued.

Five library items may be loaned during one given time. If you need more, please contact the Library Director. Community members cannot have more than 3 books on one subject.

Books are loaned for three weeks for UACCB students. Books are loaned for 2 months for UACCB faculty (check out period may be extended, please see Library Director). Books are loaned for two weeks for community members.

Videos may be checked out for three days. Community members are only allowed one audio visual material checked out at a time.

ARKLinks cards are available on request for those UACCB faculty, staff, and students who are in good standing in the Library. Please see the Library Director to receive an ARKLink card.

"Reserve" materials must be checked out from the circulation desk for a limited time (usually for 2 hours) and must be used in the library; unless the item is designated for "overnight" check out; the "reserve" section will be on shelves behind the circulation desk.

The Row Johns Library currently has subscriptions to over 15,000 periodicals (print and electronic). Current magazines are placed on magazine stands in the reference area; back issues are arranged alphabetically by title on the shelves in the stacks area. Periodicals can not be taken from the library.

Interlibrary Loan

Current UACCB faculty, staff, and students may request books, magazine articles and other information not available in the UACCB Library (allow 5 to 7 business days to receive requests). The check out time for the borrowed ILL books is dependent upon the lending library. The Library Guest is responsible for any fees that may accrue with the loan of the item.

Current UACCB students, faculty, and staff may check out materials from other Arkansas academic libraries through the ARKLink Reciprocal Borrowing Program.

Prior to visiting a participating Arkansas academic library, current UACCB users need to stop by the Row-Johns Library Circulation Desk to be issued an ARKLink card.

ARKLink participating libraries have agreed to honor the ARKLink card. However, lending libraries set their own policies and procedures. ARKLink library users must present both an ARKLink card and a photo ID to the circulation desk of the lending library.

Visiting ARKLink borrowers from other Arkansas colleges and universities may check out up to 5 items at a time with a loan period of 21 days per item.

ARKLink borrowers must present both an ARKLink card and a photo ID to the circulation desk in order to checkout library materials.

All ARKLink cards for students expire at the end of each semester, but may be reactivated at the beginning of the following semester.

All ARKLink cards for faculty expire one year from the date obtained from the Row-Johns Library, but may be reactivated, if the individual contacts the Library Director.

Alert Message

Campus community,

Cases of COVID-19 continue to increase in Arkansas and in our region.  Earlier today, the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees passed a resolution for campuses to implement mask wearing policies.  The UACCB Administrative Cabinet has reenacted Campus Procedure 220.20, Face Coverings and Social Distancing for Student, Employees, Guests, and Visitors.

Effective immediately, UACCB will require all students, employees, guests, and visitors to wear masks indoors.

This revision of Campus Procedure 220.20 is tied to CDC data regarding the level of community transmission for our area.  We will utilize a “stop light” indicator system, depending on the level of community transmission:

RED: The level of community transmission is high or substantial, masks are required.
YELLOW: The level of community transmission is moderate, masks are recommended.
GREEN: The level of community transmission is low, normal campus normal operations are in effect.

Our area is currently in RED: the level of community transmission is high, and masks are required.

The UACCB Administrative Cabinet will monitor the CDC rating and will evaluate the scale weekly.  This is a small step we can take to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and ensure we can maintain in-person learning.

Thank you.

Zach Perrine

Interim Chancellor
