Campus community,


Cases of COVID-19 continue to increase in Arkansas and in our region.  Earlier today, the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees passed a resolution for campuses to implement mask wearing policies.  The UACCB Administrative Cabinet has reenacted Campus Procedure 220.20, Face Coverings and Social Distancing for Student, Employees, Guests, and Visitors.  


Effective immediately, UACCB will require all students, employees, guests, and visitors to wear masks indoors.  


This revision of Campus Procedure 220.20 is tied to CDC data regarding the level of community transmission for our area.  We will utilize a “stop light” indicator system, depending on the level of community transmission:


RED: The level of community transmission is high or substantial, masks are required.
YELLOW: The level of community transmission is moderate, masks are recommended.
GREEN: The level of community transmission is low, normal campus normal operations are in effect.


Our area is currently in RED: the level of community transmission is high, and masks are required.


The UACCB Administrative Cabinet will monitor the CDC rating and will evaluate the scale weekly.  This is a small step we can take to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and ensure we can maintain in-person learning.
