Choosing between Concurrent and the Secondary Career Center at UACCB gives high school students two strong, no-cost pathways to jump-start their futures.
Concurrent classes allow you to enroll as a true UACCB student while still in high school, earning transferable college credit that counts toward an associate degree. These courses follow college-level expectations and run independently from your high school workload, giving motivated students a head start on completing general education requirements and reducing the cost and time it takes to earn a college degree.
The Secondary Career Center is another free option designed for students who want hands-on training in high-demand career fields. Offered through your high school, students are bused to UACCB for their first-period class, where they gain practical skills, industry-focused experience, and the opportunity to earn certifications or licensure. Students also earn college credit, which can be applied toward higher degree programs if they choose to continue their education after graduation.
Whether your goal is entering the workforce quickly or stacking credentials toward a degree, both programs provide meaningful college-level opportunities—at zero cost to you or your family. Meet with your high school counselor or career coach to get started.
