UACCB Food Pantry receives $1,000 donation
Along with UACCB’s Food Pantry, the event provided additional food to the Batesville, Cave City, Cedar Ridge, Highland, Midland and Southside School districts.
“Even though we were unable to host the event in person due to COVID-19, we wanted to continue to support this worthwhile cause while promoting health and wellness in our community,” said Jody Smotherman, WRHS chief strategy officer. “Thank you to all who participated in the 5K. The response was remarkable, with 133 virtual runners and 38 additional people making donations as spirit runners.”
Kim Whitten, UACCB director of advancement, said the UACCB Food Pantry had benefited from donations from the event for a couple of years now. “We want to thank you to White River Health System for their continued support and helping UACCB ensure that students’ needs are met both inside and outside of the classroom,” Whitten said.
