Job Description

The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach face-to-face construction courses. UACCB offers introductory construction courses in the areas of basic skills, carpentry, masonry, and sheet rock installation and finishing. UACCB has an immediate need to fill a carpentry instructor position.

Minimum qualifications: Associate's degree in carpentry or related field, industry recognized credential or certification, or 5 years of full-time employment in the construction industry. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Experience in and understanding of the importance of working with adult students from diverse populations. Excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail; independent; self-motivated; able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment as well as external business and community partners, representing his/her self in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
