Administrative Specialist II
The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville seeks an Administrative Specialist II. This position is a grade C109 and provides administrative support for the UACCB Registrar’s office in Research Planning and Assessment Division. The administrative specialist processes incoming and out-going mail, student name/address changes, greets and directs visitors; manages incoming and outgoing phone calls and faxes; responds to routine questions regarding policy and procedures and provides instructions on the completion of forms. The administrative specialist provides information, assistance and clarification to interested parties based on research findings; establishes and maintains various computerized and paper files, including student records; reviews documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance with laws and regulations and retrieves information as needed for reference or to compile reports; conducts physical inventory and orders office supplies. Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge of general office procedures, basic record keeping procedures, Microsoft Office applications, must be detail oriented and possess accurate data entry skills; able to operate standard office equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Minimum requirements include a formal education equivalent of a high school diploma plus two years of experience or specialized training in a fast-paced office setting. Experience in higher education is desired. An operating knowledge or the ability to learn Colleague or a similar student information system is required.
