Adjunct Welding Instructor

The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville seeks an adjunct welding instructor to teach courses beginning August 22, 2017 and continuing through December 7, 2017. Three courses are available including Welding I Tuesdays and Thursday from 5:35-7:35 p.m. and Welding II and Welding III Mondays and Wednesday from 5:35-9:35 p.m. Duties and responsibilities include:

  •  Teaching various welding processes on both plate and pipe
  •  shielded metal arc
  •  mixed inert gas
  •  tungsten inert gas
  • Promoting a safe learning environment
  • Quality instruction and assessment
  • Computer skills / online learning (Blackboard Learning)
  • Routine equipment maintenance and servicing


Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of four years’ work experience in the welding industry


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in welding or related technology
  • Higher education teaching experience
  • AWS Certified Welding Educator
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector
  • NCCER Craft Instructor
