Adjunct Faculty for Technical Methods and Engineering Drawings

(Multiple Part-Time Faculty Positions)

 

SALARY RANGE: $1,600.00 per three credit hour course   

                                               

LOCATION: Main Campus, Batesville, Arkansas

Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                  

The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville seeks part-time/adjunct faculty who are committed to supporting community college teaching and student success. Primary responsibilities will include: 

  1. Classroom/laboratory instruction and training for one or more of the following areas:
    1. Introduction to safety, hand tools, power tools, construction drawings, basic rigging, communication skills, employability skills, and technical math
    2. Blue print reading and engineered detailed drawings
  2. Record keeping for certifications
  3. Assessment of student learning
  4. Utilization of learning management system for credit courses only (i.e., Blackboard Learn)
  5. Collaboration with UACCB’s Industrial Technology team to improve and grow the program

Qualifications                                                                                                                                                         

  • Bachelor degree or higher in engineering or related technical field (relevant work experience may substitute for portions of the educational requirements)
  • Higher education teaching experience preferred
  • Industry work experience preferred
