UACCB's Cosmetology program is designed to provide students with the quality education necessary to begin a successful career in the beauty industry. With personal instruction in our state-of-the-art facility, the UACCB Cosmetology students become prepared to take advantage of the bustling career opportunities that abound in north central Arkansas and surrounding regions.
About the program
Students will be given both theory and practical instruction required as a prerequisite to qualify for the licensure exam by the Arkansas Department of Health Cosmetology Section. Hands-on training is key in this 12 month program as students welcome clients daily and perform all areas of beauty services.
The programs boasts training in hygiene and sanitation, hairdressing, physiotherapy, manicuring, aesthetics, cosmetricity, physiology and histology anatomy, shop management, neurology, mycology, osteology, salesmanship and shop deportment.
How to apply
- official copies of high school, GED or college transcripts
- immunization record showing two MMR shots
- placement test scores (may be taken at UACCB for $15 fee)
Submit the following documentation to the UACCB Cosmetology office:
Copy of high school diploma, transcripts, or GED (proof of education)
Arkansas License or ID
$20 check for the Arkansas Department of Health: Cosmetology Section regarding permit fee
All applicants MUST attend one UACCB Cosmetology Program interview, prior to being accepted into the program. The UACCB Cosmetology program is a limited access program. Available class openings are filled on a first-come, first-served basis at the beginning of each semester.
