Performing Arts Series Spring 2014

The Performing Arts series will continue in the 2014 spring semester with The Legend of Sleepy Hollow on February 17th at 7pm.  The play, presented by the Arkansas Arts Center's Childrens Theatre on Tour, is based on the American classic story by Washington Irving.  This peformance is free but tickets are required to secure adequate seating.

March 7th at 7pm features a new production titled Back On Broadway, a musical story about ten star-struck performers arriving in the Big Apple looking for their big break on Broadway.  Celebrating the magic of the stage through dazzling production numbers, this multi-talented cast brings to life the most popular scenes and songs from known Broadway hits such as Mary poppins, Jersey Boys, South Pacific, Hello Dolly, Evita, The Producers and many more.

Rounding out the 2013-14 series will be Branson on the Road, April 24th, 2014 at 7pm.  Featured on national television, Branson on the Road is in the same musical tradition as traveling road shows during the glory days of the Grand Ole Opry and the Louisiana Hayride.  This fast-paced, high energy show will keep you tapping, laughing and smiling from opening note to the final curtain.

All shows (except The Legend of Sleepy Hollow) are $10 per ticket or season tickets are $40.  Ticket outlets are First Community Bank, First Community Bank Southside and Cave City branches, and UACCB Cashier's window. Tickets are also sold at the performances, beginning 30 minutes prior to showtime in Independence Hall. For more information call 870-612-2040.
