Industrial Equipment Maintenance

The Industrial Equipment Maintenance focus at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville trains students to install and repair machinery in business and industry settings.  Equipment maintenance personnel also have responsibility for the preventative maintenance of equipment in industry.  Equipment maintenance requires the use of computer diagnostic systems and understanding of the equipment technical manuals. A person trained in equipment maintenance will have knowledge of programmable logic controls, welding, electronics and computer applications.

A person who enjoys working with their hands, figuring out problems, and working with motors and electronics will likely enjoy equipment maintenance.  The average starting salary for an AAS in Equipment Maintenance in North Central AR is $15 - $20 per hour.
