06/28/2014 - 8:30am to 6:30pm

Hunter Education

This class, sponsored by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, is required for anyone born on or after January 1, 1969.  To hunt in Arkansas you must complete a hunter education course and carry a valid hunter education card.  Youths under the age of 16 may hunt without hunter education as long as they are under direct supervision of an adult who is at least 21 years old.  There is no specific age requirement to enroll.  However, the educational reading material is based on a sixth-grade reading level.  This course is free of charge and will be held Saturday, June 28 from 8:30 a.m. through 6:30 p.m. in the Nursing and Allied Health Building.
