Mathematics Instructor: The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville seeks applications for a creative, dedicated and energetic full-time Mathematics Instructor to begin in fall 2010. The position includes teaching both basic skills math and college-level math, including algebra and calculus. This position may also be required to teach concurrent credit classes at area high schools, night classes and/or online classes. A minimum of a master's degree with at least 18 hours of graduate mathematics courses is required. Three years of college teaching experience is preferred. Director of Institutional Research: The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville is seeking a Director of Institutional Research. The Director of Institutional Research conducts statistical and analytical studies that support the academic and administrative functions of the college. The director compiles and interprets information for enrollment analysis, assessment, planning and budgeting; prepares internal and external reports; assists in providing campus users and the public with timely access to data and information; and serves as liaison to a variety of campus groups. The director reports to the Vice Chancellor for Research Planning and Assessment. Specific duties include: coordinate the collection and submission of IPEDS data; coordinate the administration of CCSSE and other similar surveys; report data back to campus groups; compile data to support grant applications; provide data to support reports to accrediting agencies; submit data to comply with ADHE/legislative requests; review practices and measures of institutional effectiveness and goals; assist with collection and reporting of assessment data; responsible for compiling data for the UACCB fact book and the division’s data pages; and complete on-going and ad hoc data requests.

Qualifications: master's preferred, bachelor's required in math/statistics, education, business or social science; minimum of 3 years experience in higher education, preferably in institutional research; strong analytical ability and experience with interpreting statistics; advanced computing skills, especially with databases, spreadsheets, queries and statistical software; experience with Datatel preferred; ability to work independently, attend to multiple projects simultaneously, deliver accurate results and meet deadlines; and ability to work in a collaborative environment and interact effectively with different college constituencies.
