What is reverse transfer?
Reverse transfer is the process for awarding an associate's degree to students who begin their education at UACCB, transfer to another institution, and complete their associate degree requirements while working toward a bachelor's degree.
Am I eligible?
You must complete at least 24 college level credits at UACCB to be eligible. Your associate's degree then depends on the course credit you earn at your four-year institution. This is evaluated case-by-case. You will be awarded your UACCB associate's degree if your combined credits satisfy the degree requirements, and you meet all graduation requirements.
How much does it cost?
There are currently no costs associated with reverse transfer. UACCB does not change you for the reverse transfer process. Your transfer institution may charge you a transcript fee but those institution currently participating do not. You also may require additional courses to complete your associate's degree plan.
Which associate's degree am I eligible for?
If you are unsure which degree you are seeking or are eligible to earn through reverse transfer, meet with an UACCB academic advisor. AS and AA degrees qualify. An official audit will be run to determine if you have met the requirements for a degree at UACCB.
Can I take the courses I have left at my university, or must I return to UACCB?
You do not have to return to UACCB to complete courses if you can take them at your transfer institution. However, those courses must be transferrable and applicable to the associate’s degree. If you are unsure, meet with an UACCB advisor.
If I earn my associate's degree through reverse transfer, and I still participate in UACCB’s commencement ceremony?
Yes, earning your degree is a major accomplishment. When you meet the requirements for graduation, you will receive an invitation to participate along with details of the event.
