First time college student - you have never attended college before (excluding concurrent credit classes).

Steps for New Students

The following steps are required before you begin the first semester at UACCB. These steps are to be completed in order.

1. Enrollment Center – Main Campus Building – Room 232, Phone - 612-2139

  • complete online application
  • bring the following items to the enrollment center:
    • official transcripts or GED
    • Copy of immunization record showing at least 2 MMR shots
    • Test scores - ACT, SAT, ASSET, COMPASS

2. Financial Aid - Main Campus Building – Room 225, Phone – 612-2036

  • go to fasfa.gov to apply for federal financial aid -school code: 014042
    • You will need last year's tax returns to complete the FASFA
    • the FASFA should be completed and all required documents (tax returns, transcripts, etc) submitted by July 1 for the following fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester
    • the financial aid office staff will be available to help with quiestions on the site

3. Advising Center/Registration – Main Campus Building - Room 229, Phone - 612-2160

  • complete admissions file first as stated in Step 1
  • call or go by the Advising Center and make an advising appointment

4. Enrollment Center – Main Campus Building – Room 232, Phone – 612-2139

  • student id
  • parking hanger
  • complete the Release of Student Information Authorization form

5. Business Office – Main Campus Building – Room 215, Phone – 612-2005

  • go to the cashier’s window to arrange payment
  • financial aid
  • payment plan
  • cash

6. Potential Financial Assistance:

  • Career Pathways - Eligibility – Main Campus Building – Room 236, Phone - 612-2060
    1. be an adult caretaker or parent of a child under the age of 21 AND be receiving Transitional Employment Assistance (TEA)
  • Employment & Training Program – Eligibility - Main Campus Building - Room 238, Phone - 612-2166
    1. contact office before classes begin
    2. be receiving or eligible for food stamps

7. Potential Academic Assistance:

  • TRIO (transfer program) - Eligibility – Main Campus Building – Room 230, Phone – 612-2173
    1. Be a first-generation student in college (which means neither parent graduated with a four-year college degree) OR
    2. meet "low-income" standards according to federal guidelines OR
    3. have a physical or learning disability for which you need academic accommodation
