BATESVILLE - Caleb Brackett of Batesville has been awarded a Chancellor's Scholarship at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, announced Melissa Sisco, director of Financial Aid.
Brackett graduated from Midland High School. He is the son of Rodney and Melissa Brackett. He plans to pursue a degree in wildlife biology. He said he chose UACCB because it is close to home and because of the friendly atmosphere. "I think I will enjoy my time at UACCB and make many new friends," he said.
The Chancellor's Scholarship is awarded to students with a composite ACT score of 27 or higher. It provides in-state tuition (up to 15 hours), a $250 stipend and free use of text books each semester.
The scholarship is renewable for three consecutive semesters for those students completing at least 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.00 grade point average after the first semester and a 3.25 GPA after the second and third semesters.
