UACCB to break ground on NAH building

BATESVILLE - The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville will break ground on the Nursing and Allied Health Building Jan. 21, 2010 at 3 p.m.

Crossland Construction Company, Inc., of Rogers was the low bidder on the 365 day project. The bid for the 40,669 square foot building was $4.917 million. The building will be located on the East side of the UACCB campus, south of the Roy Row, Sr., and Imogene Row Johns Library and Academic Building.

The NAH Building will be the first two-story building on campus and will include seven classrooms, a 200 seat lecture hall, four clinical labs and faculty offices. The building will house UACCB's nursing and allied health programs.

Architects for the project are Fennell Purifoy of Little Rock.

UACCB's Board of Visitors will hold its regular quarterly meeting after the ground breaking at 4 p.m. in Independence Hall.
