UACCB unveils new logo, color scheme
BATESVILLE – The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville will have a new logo beginning July 1, 2009.
The new logo incorporates the UACCB acronym and a new color scheme expresses a unique, fresh statement providing an updated and clean look.
"We are excited about the new look and image the new logo portrays," said Deborah Frazier, Chancellor. "The new logo was created through a thoughtful professional development process that started with a branding workshop held in February."
The branding workshop included representatives from both internal and external stakeholders. The goal of the workshop was to establish visual and verbal positioning for the campus.
Stakeholders participated in key exercises to address the following questions about UACCB: Who we are?; What we do?; How we do it?; and Why we do it? The workshop was lead by Susan Kirtland, owner of Propeller Communications. During the second half of the workshop, stakeholders were lead through a series of exercises that helped establish color, typography, photography styles, logomarks and ad layouts.
"The group embraced elements reflecting the personal/emotional aspects of UACCB," Kirtland said in her follow up report on the workshop. "There is considerable equity in the UACCB acronym in comparison to the current lettered logomark or the unabbreviated name of the college."
After receiving the report, UACCB officials started working with a graphic designer on a new logo design. The new design utilizes information gained during the workshop regarding color, typography and logomarks.
